The Brooklyn-based defense technology company will use the financing to expand production, international operations and autonomous aerial systems programs.
Easy Aerial has completed a $20 million Series B funding round with participation from Insight Partners, Entrée Capital and private US investors.
The Brooklyn, New York-based company develops autonomous tethered and free-flight drone systems for defense, government and security applications. Easy Aerial said the new capital will support global expansion, increased production capacity, international defense programs and continued development of its autonomous aerial technologies.
The company did not disclose a lead investor, valuation or the detailed financial structure of the Series B.
Easy Aerial’s systems are designed for persistent aerial intelligence, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, force protection, perimeter security, emergency response and critical infrastructure monitoring. Its current product portfolio includes drone-in-a-box and tethered systems designed for fixed-site and mobile deployment.
Shahar Abuhazira is Easy Aerial’s current CEO. Ivan Stamatovski, who founded the business, currently serves as chief product officer. Historical company records also identify Ido Gur as a co-founder and former CEO.
Easy Aerial was founded in 2015 and remains headquartered in Brooklyn. The company has expanded production into Europe alongside its US operations.
The Series B follows a $6.15 million Series A announced in August 2020. At that time, Easy Aerial said private investors had previously provided $4.75 million through seed rounds between 2017 and 2019.
Based on those publicly disclosed rounds, Bipsiq calculates that Easy Aerial has announced at least $30.9 million across its seed, Series A and Series B financings. That figure excludes grants, government awards and any undisclosed financing.
Easy Aerial’s Osprey unmanned aerial system has also been included on the US Defense Innovation Unit’s Blue UAS Cleared List, which provides vetted unmanned aerial systems for Department of Defense and other federal users.
The company said it intends to use the latest financing to increase manufacturing capacity and support programs in the US and international markets.
