Archeon Medical has raised $9 million (€7.5 million) in Series A equity funding led by Newfund through its HEKA fund. The round also included funds managed by Eiffel Investment Group and UI Investissement through the OSER BFC fund, alongside existing investors Majycc Innovation Santé and Karot Capital.
Founded in 2018 by Alban De Luca and Pierre-Edouard Saillard, Archeon Medical is a Besançon, France-based medical technology company focused on emergency manual ventilation. The company develops EOlife, a ventilation feedback device designed for use during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
EOlife measures ventilation parameters in real time, including the volume of gas reaching a cardiac arrest patient’s lungs, and provides visual feedback to help rescuers manage manual ventilation. The medical device is FDA-cleared in the US and CE-marked in Europe.
Archeon Medical plans to use the Series A proceeds to expand clinical validation and commercial activity in the US. The financing will support clinical studies involving more than 1,500 cardiac arrest patients across Europe and the US, including programs involving Amsterdam UMC, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue EMS in Oregon and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
The company previously announced a €5.5 million funding round in 2022 to support the development of its ventilation technologies.
