Finland-based Comparables.ai has raised $6 million in seed funding led by Pragmatech and Araya Ventures, with participation from Purple Ventures, Gorilla Capital, hi5 Ventures and Somersault Ventures.
Founded in 2021 by Niko Nalli, Markus Vesala, Martin Kangasniemi and Muhammad Ammad-ud-din, Comparables.ai develops an AI-powered market and M&A intelligence platform for corporate development teams, private equity firms, M&A advisors and investment banks.
The platform brings together company financials, ownership structures, valuation data, M&A transactions and contact information to support activities including target screening, market mapping, peer benchmarking and deal sourcing. Comparables.ai says its platform indexes more than 370 million companies and is used by more than 50,000 professionals.
Comparables.ai plans to use the new capital to expand across additional markets and further develop its core AI engine.
The company previously announced a $700,000 pre-seed round in January 2022.
