Welltory, a Redwood City, California-based consumer health technology company, has secured $2 million in non-dilutive growth financing from Braavo Capital to expand Welltory Care, its service for people living with chronic health conditions.
The financing, announced on October 8, 2026, extends an existing relationship between the two companies. Braavo Capital previously provided Welltory with several million dollars in growth financing to support its business expansion and product development. The latest transaction is growth debt financing rather than a seed equity round.
Founded in 2016 by Jane Smorodnikova and Pavel Pravdin, Welltory operates a digital health platform that uses wearable-device data and heart rate variability (HRV) analysis to help individuals understand their physiological activity, stress levels, energy and recovery. Smorodnikova serves as the company’s founder and CEO.
Welltory Care extends the company’s consumer health offering by connecting people who experience similar chronic conditions, physiological patterns and daily limitations. The service combines personal health data, peer experiences, research and medical expertise to develop specialized support groups and tools.
The company uses digital phenotyping, which combines information from wearable devices with users’ self-reported experiences, to identify individuals with similar physiological characteristics.
The new financing will primarily support growth and participant recruitment for Welltory Care. The company said it would continue funding research and product development through its own resources.
Welltory launched its first Energy Lab group with 100 participants experiencing post-exertional malaise (PEM). Following initial engagement, the company plans to increase participation to 500 people. Clinical outcomes are being collected through an Institutional Review Board-approved study.
Over the next year, Welltory plans to establish additional support groups focused on migraine, long COVID, chronic fatigue and irritable bowel syndrome. These groups will combine shared experiences and physiological information with specialized resources, while medical diagnosis and treatment remain the responsibility of participants’ healthcare professionals.
Welltory reports serving 18 million users worldwide.
The company has previously received financing from Braavo Capital, including a $2 million credit facility announced in November 2025, which followed a $3 million credit line in 2024.
