Finches, a Germany-based agritech startup developing AI-powered agricultural sourcing software, has raised €2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), with Vanagon Ventures as co-lead.
Bayern Kapital joined the round as a new investor, while existing backer UnternehmerTUM Funding for Innovators and a group of strategic angel investors from the food and technology industries also participated.
Founded in 2025, Finches is headquartered in Wörthsee near Munich. The company was established by Catharina van Delden, Dr. Stefanie Glenn and Alexandra Vázquez Bea. Van Delden serves as CEO, Glenn as CTO, and Vázquez Bea as CFO and COO.
Finches develops an AI-powered sourcing intelligence platform for companies purchasing agricultural raw materials. Its technology combines internal procurement information, including supplier records, growing regions and contracts, with external data such as weather forecasts, satellite imagery, crop research, local news and field observations from agronomists.
The platform analyses these inputs to identify potential supply disruptions affecting particular crops, suppliers and production regions. It provides early warnings and recommended actions to help procurement teams respond to emerging risks, including crop shortages, quality problems and other supply chain disruptions.
Finches Intelligence, the company’s sourcing risk platform, became operational in September 2026. According to Finches, its early customers include an organic baby food manufacturer and a North American Fortune 500 food company.
The startup intends to use the new funding to accelerate product development and expand its sales operations, targeting more companies that depend on agricultural raw materials.
