Evolutionary Operating System, Inc. (Evos), a New York-based AI startup developing autonomous operators for industrial businesses, has raised $9 million in pre-seed funding.
The round was co-led by Uncork Capital and Field Ventures, with participation from Crosslink Capital, Utopia Capital Management, Sandwith Ventures and angel investors. The funding was announced on October 14, 2026, as Evos emerged from stealth.
Founded in 2026 by Urav Shah, who serves as CEO, Evos develops an agentic operations platform designed to automate business processes across physical industries, including logistics, manufacturing and freight transportation.
Its autonomous AI operators learn how experienced employees perform tasks and make operational decisions. The technology then applies that knowledge to execute workflows within a company’s existing software systems, reducing the need for employees to handle routine processes manually.
The platform supports activities such as freight invoice auditing, dispatch communications, shipment monitoring and other operational workflows. Its operators initially work under human supervision before taking on greater responsibility as they demonstrate consistent performance.
Evos reported surpassing $1 million in annual recurring revenue within four weeks of its initial deployments, reflecting early customer adoption of its AI operators.
The company intends to use the new capital to expand its team, continue platform development and make its autonomous operators available to more small and mid-sized businesses operating in physical industries.
Evos also announced plans to formally introduce Workhorse, its autonomous operations platform, following the funding announcement.
