ICON, a US-based construction technology company specialising in robotic 3D printing, announced a $200 million Series D funding round on October 13, 2026. The financing was co-led by Baillie Gifford and funds managed by BlackRock.
The round also included participation from Capital Factory, CAZ Investments, Moderne Ventures, Moonshots Capital, Norwest, Overmatch, The Syndicate and Tiger Global, among others.
Founded in 2017 by Jason Ballard, Evan Loomis and Alex Le Roux, ICON is headquartered in Austin, Texas. The company develops robotic construction systems, software and advanced building materials designed to automate parts of the building process. Ballard serves as its co-founder and CEO.
ICON plans to use the new capital to expand the manufacturing and deployment of its robotic construction systems, establish a large-scale research and development facility in Austin and advance technologies including Titan and Olympus. The company also intends to expand its operations across Texas, Florida, Washington, D.C., and additional US markets.
Its Titan platform is a multi-story robotic construction system developed for builders and construction companies. ICON introduced the system commercially in March 2026, allowing construction businesses to acquire its integrated 3D-printing technology. The Series D financing will support further manufacturing of Titan systems at ICON’s Austin facility.
ICON operates through three business units. Build handles residential, commercial and hospitality construction projects. Tech develops its construction platform, including robotics, software and proprietary materials such as FormCrete. Prime focuses on defense and space applications, including military infrastructure and construction technology being developed through NASA’s Project Olympus.
At the time of the announcement, ICON said it had constructed more than 270 homes and other structures across the United States and Mexico. Its projects include the Wolf Ranch 3D-printed housing community in Georgetown, Texas, affordable housing developments and military construction projects.
