Palo Alto-based ImpriMed has raised $10 million in Series A2 bridge funding led by LB Investment, with backing from NAVER D2SF, Samsung Securities and other investors.

ImpriMed, a Palo Alto, California-based precision medicine company, has raised $10 million in a Series A2 bridge round led by LB Investment. New investors NAVER D2SF, Samsung Securities and Alois Ventures participated alongside existing investors BonAngels Venture Partners and Han River Partners. The company plans to use the funding to advance commercialization in the US and expand its presence in Asia.

Founded in 2017 by CEO Sungwon Lim and CTO Jamin Koo, ImpriMed develops precision medicine technology that combines testing of live patient-derived cancer cells with AI and immunophenotypic, genomic and clinical data. Its xCellSense platform is designed to measure how primary cancer cells respond to drugs ex vivo and generate data that can support treatment selection and drug development.

ImpriMed operates its headquarters in Palo Alto and maintains a separate office in Seoul. The company said it is preparing products for blood cancers and blood infection and is targeting FDA clearance and CLIA certification by the first quarter of 2027 for an initial US launch. In South Korea, it is also developing software for multiple myeloma prognosis and therapy-response prediction that has received Innovative Medical Device designation from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

The latest financing follows ImpriMed’s $23 million Series A round, which closed in December 2023 and was led by SBVA, with participation from investors including HRZ Han River Partners, SK Telecom and KDB Silicon Valley.
