Firecrawl has raised $75 million in a Series B funding round led by Smash Capital. Altos Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Y Combinator, Freestyle and Offline Ventures also participated in the financing. The round was announced on September 22, 2026.

Based in San Francisco, Firecrawl develops infrastructure that helps AI applications and agents search, scrape and retrieve information from the web. The company was started in 2022 and was founded by Caleb Peffer, Eric Ciarla and Nicolas Silberstein Camara. Peffer serves as CEO, Ciarla as Chief Growth Officer and Silberstein Camara as CTO.

Firecrawl announced the funding alongside Alexandria, a platform that brings together the live web, official data providers, custom connectors and Firecrawl’s own indexes to give AI agents a common interface for discovering and retrieving information. The company said the new capital will support the expansion of Alexandria’s coverage, improvements to search and indexing systems, and mechanisms for compensating researchers, publishers and data providers whose information is used through the platform.

The Series B follows Firecrawl’s $14.5 million Series A announced in August 2025, which was led by Nexus Venture Partners and included participation from Y Combinator, Zapier and individual technology executives.
