Molecular Targeting Technologies, Inc. (MTTI), a West Chester, Pennsylvania-based clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical company, has announced a $3.17 million, five-year grant from the National Cancer Institute to advance its investigational ¹⁷⁷Lu-EBRGD program for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The funding was awarded under NIH grant R01CA299133.
Federal award records list the project period from August 24, 2026, through July 31, 2031. The records show an initial fiscal 2026 obligation of $637,529, while MTTI has stated that the five-year grant totals $3.17 million.
The research program is intended to support preclinical studies, cGMP drug-product manufacturing, preparation of an Investigational New Drug submission, and planned clinical evaluation of ¹⁷⁷Lu-EBRGD. The NIH project abstract includes plans to evaluate the candidate in adults with metastatic NSCLC who have failed first-line systemic therapy, subject to the required development and regulatory steps.
¹⁷⁷Lu-EBRGD is designed to target integrin αvβ3. MTTI is developing the candidate using its EvaThera platform, which incorporates Evans Blue-based reversible albumin binding to modify the pharmacokinetic properties and tissue distribution of targeted radiopharmaceuticals.
MTTI develops targeted radiopharmaceuticals and molecular imaging technologies for cancer. The company is led by Chairman and CEO Koon Yan “Chris” Pak, and its pipeline also includes the clinical-stage ¹⁷⁷Lu-EBTATE program.
