Helsinki-based AI cloud company Verda has raised $189 million (€163 million) in new funding to expand its full-stack AI cloud infrastructure. The financing includes an oversubscribed Series B led by Emergence Capital, alongside additional investment.

The financing included participation from MUFG Innovation Partners, Supermicro, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Lifeline Ventures, ENDUR, 6 Degrees Capital (6DC), byFounders and Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment Ltd). Angel investors including Ola Tørudbakken and Mark Saroufim also participated.

Founded in Helsinki in 2020 by Ruben Bryon, Verda develops and operates AI cloud infrastructure spanning physical data centres, hardware, cloud services and AI research. Its platform provides on-demand compute infrastructure for AI workloads including prototyping, model training and inference.

Verda plans to use the new capital to expand compute capacity and accelerate product development across its AI cloud platform, including further investment in inference capabilities. The company said it plans to multiply its compute capacity over the next year.

The financing takes Verda’s total funding to more than $450 million across equity and debt. Emergence Capital said the latest round valued the company at more than $1 billion. Verda also said it reached a $165 million annualized revenue run rate in July 2026.
