Efficient Computer has raised more than $97 million in Series B financing at a $650 million valuation. The round was led by TQ Ventures, with participation from Eclipse, Union Square Ventures, Giant Ventures, Triatomic Capital, TO Capital, TF Capital, Mana Ventures, Toyota Ventures, Overmatch and Borderless. The financing brings the Pittsburgh-based semiconductor startup’s total funding to $173 million.

Founded in 2022, Efficient Computer develops energy-efficient general-purpose processors and traces its technology to research at Carnegie Mellon University. Its founders are Brandon Lucia, Graham Gobieski, Nathan Beckmann and Alex Hawkinson.

The company’s first processor, Electron E1, is based on its Fabric architecture, a programmable dataflow computing architecture designed to reduce the energy required for general-purpose computing workloads, including AI. Electron E1 is in volume production, with applications spanning physical AI and autonomy, infrastructure monitoring and industrial automation, space and defense, and wearable devices.

Efficient Computer said the Series B capital will be used to increase shipments of Electron E1 to customers and extend its architecture toward datacenter-class computing. The company previously raised a $60 million Series A led by Triatomic Capital in February 2026, which had brought its funding at the time to $76 million.

The story is classified as Startup Fundraising because the primary event is a private company financing round, with Semiconductors as the applicable startup sector under Bipsiq’s taxonomy.
