RemoteThreat has announced $7 million in pre-seed funding led by Osage University Partners and DataTribe. The financing accompanies the cybersecurity company’s emergence from stealth and the launch of its O/C/O Platform for offensive cyber operations. A February 2026 SEC filing by RemoteThreat showed $7 million of securities sold to two investors as part of a $7.3 million offering.
Founded by offensive security veterans Chris Thompson, CEO, and Shawn Jones, CTO, RemoteThreat develops software for enterprise and critical infrastructure red teams, U.S. government mission teams and vetted defense partners. Thompson and Jones previously held leadership roles within IBM’s X-Force Red operations.
The company’s O/C/O Platform brings several components of offensive cyber operations into a unified environment. Its eight connected systems cover mission planning, command-and-control infrastructure, implants, initial-access frameworks, advanced capabilities, obfuscation pipelines, analysis engines and AI-assisted operations. The platform is currently available to qualified enterprise, U.S. government and vetted defense industry customers.
RemoteThreat plans to use the pre-seed capital to accelerate deployment of the platform and develop additional features.
The company is also working with defense technology company Talon Defense to integrate complementary capabilities into operational platforms. The Nakasone Group, founded by former National Security Agency director and U.S. Cyber Command commander Paul Nakasone, is serving as a strategic advisor to RemoteThreat.
