Defense technology company Buntar Aerospace has raised $16 million from Freedom Fund, an international private equity fund and other investors.

Buntar Aerospace, a London-based defense technology company founded in Ukraine, has raised $16 million in funding. The round was led by Freedom Fund and an international private equity fund, with participation from Gardar, Iron Wolf and Autonomy Capital. The financing brings the company’s total funding to $30 million.

Founded in 2023 by Ivan Kaunov and Bohdan Sas, Buntar Aerospace develops unmanned aerial systems and software for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. Its current product portfolio includes Buntar-3, a VTOL reconnaissance UAV, and Buntar Copilot, software designed to support UAV mission planning and execution.

The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate product development, expand production capacity and grow its team.

Earlier in 2026, Buntar Aerospace announced a $10.4 million financing round led by Axon Enterprise, with participation from Munkene AS and other investors. The financing supported the company’s ISR platforms and Buntar Copilot software.
