UpSmith company branding for its $10 million Series A funding announcement.
Dallas-based UpSmith has raised $10 million in Series A funding led by SemperVirens to expand its AI platform for home-services contractors.

UpSmith, a Dallas-based software company serving home-services contractors, has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by SemperVirens. The financing included participation from Hannah Grey Ventures, Asymmetric Capital Partners, CIV, Synetro Group, WaterStone Impact Fund, Colin M. Evans of Sandwith Ventures, Deason Capital Services and OpenGov co-founder Zachary Bookman.

The company plans to use the funding to expand its engineering team and broaden distribution of its platform across the home-services industry.

Founded in 2022 by Wyatt Smith, UpSmith initially operated as a workforce-development company focused on skilled trades before evolving into an AI-powered software platform for home-services businesses. The company works with contractors across areas including HVAC, plumbing and electrical services.

UpSmith’s platform uses AI agents and operational data to identify and act on revenue opportunities. Its software can respond to inbound leads, confirm appointments, follow up on estimates, support membership renewals and reactivate customers. The company’s website says its technology is used by more than 200 home-services operators.

UpSmith previously raised $5 million in 2024 to support its skilled-workforce technology and a $3.3 million pre-seed round in 2022 led by Andreessen Horowitz and Asymmetric Capital Partners.
