Tensor Machines has secured $1.5 million in pre-seed funding to advance hardware and physics-based models designed to evaluate data center compute infrastructure.

Tensor Machines, a US-based AI hardware startup, has raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding led by Omni VC, with participation from Reinforced Ventures, Avesta Fund and Draper U Ventures.

Led by CEO Muneeb Rasool, Tensor Machines develops open-source AI hardware and physics-based models for data center compute infrastructure. Its systems are designed to combine measurements of physical hardware behavior, including power consumption, heat generation and hardware degradation, with workload performance to assess compute yield and remaining productive life.

The company plans to use the funding to further develop its open-source AI hardware and proprietary physics-based models. The models are being tested with select bare-metal providers and neocloud design partners.
