Berlin, Germany-based observability startup OllyGarden has raised $4 million in venture capital funding from Next Frontier Capital, Grand Ventures and ACTAI Ventures, with continued backing from existing investor DIG Ventures. Datadog, Grafana Labs and Dash0 also made additional strategic investments in the company.

Founded in 2025 by Juraci Paixão Kröhling and Yuri Oliveira Sá, OllyGarden develops software that helps organisations identify and correct problems in telemetry data generated by their applications and infrastructure. Its platform serves engineering teams across retail, financial services and enterprise software.

Telemetry data, including logs, metrics and traces, helps engineering teams monitor application performance and investigate technical issues. However, excessive, incomplete or poorly configured telemetry can increase observability costs and make it harder to identify relevant information.

OllyGarden addresses these challenges by continuously assessing telemetry quality, detecting instrumentation issues and recommending fixes at the source. Its platform is designed to improve the reliability of operational data used by engineers and AI agents while reducing unnecessary data collection and processing.

Alongside the funding announcement, the company introduced Minimum Viable Instrumentation (MVI), a new capability within its AI OpenTelemetry Engineer, Rose.

Previously, Rose focused on reviewing existing instrumentation and recommending improvements. With MVI, the system can also identify areas where instrumentation is missing and provide guidance for establishing a baseline of essential telemetry data.

The capability is intended to help engineering teams apply consistent instrumentation practices across repositories, development workflows and code changes without generating excessive monitoring data.

OllyGarden said the new funding will support further development of its telemetry quality platform and its capabilities for improving instrumentation across enterprise software environments.

The company previously announced pre-seed funding in July 2025, led by DIG Ventures, with participation from investors including Datadog Ventures, Grafana Labs and Dash0.
