San Francisco-based Sirona Medical has secured $40 million in Series D financing led by Avidity Partners, with participation from 8VC, GreatPoint Ventures, KLT, and Rose Park Advisors. The funding will support its RadOS platform, customer services, AI development, and international expansion.

Sirona Medical, a San Francisco-based healthcare technology company developing cloud-native radiology software, has raised $40 million in Series D funding led by Avidity Partners. The round also included participation from 8VC, GreatPoint Ventures, KLT, Rose Park Advisors, and other new and existing investors.

Founded in 2018 by Cameron Andrews, Sirona Medical develops software designed to consolidate radiology imaging, reporting, and clinical workflows. Andrews serves as Founder and President, while Ken Kaufman is the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Its flagship platform, RadOS, brings together picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), diagnostic image viewing, reporting, worklist management, and AI-assisted workflows within a unified cloud-based environment. The software serves radiology practices, hospitals, and health systems, allowing radiologists to access imaging studies and manage diagnostic workflows through a single platform.

Since the public launch of RadOS in November 2023, Sirona has expanded to dozens of contracted customers across hundreds of integrated sites. The company reported that its platform had more than 12 million primary imaging examinations annually under contract as of September 30, 2026.

Sirona also reported 2.5-fold year-over-year revenue growth and a 2.7-fold increase in contracted annual recurring revenue. PACS archive usage increased 2.5-fold, while diagnostic reports submitted through its platform doubled during the same period. The company said it had contracted to onboard more than 1,000 additional radiologists over the following 12 months.

The new funding will support several operational and product-development initiatives, including expanding Sirona’s US-based implementation and round-the-clock customer support teams. The company is establishing offices in Burlington, Vermont, and Cincinnati, Ohio, as part of this expansion.

Sirona also plans to commercialize Sirona Cortex, its agentic AI orchestration layer, and further develop tools supporting collaboration among radiologists through the Sirona Network.

International expansion is another priority. The company plans to launch Sirona Global before the end of 2026, targeting markets including the United Kingdom, the European Union, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.

The Series D follows Sirona’s earlier venture financing, including its Series B round in 2021 and Series C financing in November 2024. Avidity Partners, 8VC, and GreatPoint Ventures also participated in its previous financing activities.
