Aitan has raised $41 million in a Series A financing round co-led by Deep33 and Dell Technologies Capital. The round also included participation from Gokul Rajaram, Benjamin Ling of Bling Capital and Kevin Weil of Scribble Ventures. The financing brings Aitan’s total capital raised to $54 million.
The company plans to use the new capital for continued product development, international expansion and growth of its global team. Aitan, formerly known as eyesAtop, emerged from stealth alongside the financing announcement.
Aitan is led by co-founders and co-CEOs Udi Oster and Daniel Almog. The pair previously served as officers in the Israel Defense Forces’ Unit 8200 and later built online ordering startup Tapingo, which was acquired by Grubhub.
The defense technology company develops edge-AI robotic systems designed to help military forces coordinate drones, sensors and autonomous systems. Its platform includes vendor-agnostic command and control, autonomy capabilities and software infrastructure intended to allow different robotic systems to operate as a coordinated force.
Aitan says its technology has been deployed across the IDF and Israeli national security agencies and has accumulated more than 500,000 operational combat hours. The company is also expanding its presence in the United States and targeting additional markets in Europe and Asia.
