Konko AI, a healthcare technology company developing AI-powered patient coordination software for clinics and hospitals in Latin America, has raised $6 million in funding. The round was led by Hi Ventures, with participation from LifeX Ventures, SquareOne Capital, GroundUp Ventures, Phoenix Fund and angel investors associated with Harvard, MIT, Google and Tesla.
Founded in 2023 by Jean Marc Goguikian and Michael Haddad, Konko AI is headquartered in New York. Goguikian serves as co-founder and CEO, while Haddad is co-founder and CPTO. The company develops technology designed to automate operational workflows and patient journeys for medical clinics across Latin America.
Its platform uses AI agents to manage functions including patient messaging, triage, appointment scheduling and follow-ups. Konko AI also consolidates patient information into an interoperable record and provides operational analytics for healthcare teams. The company said the new capital will support product development and further expansion across Latin America.
Konko AI said its platform has managed more than 2 million patient interactions across 90 healthcare institutions and 60 medical specialties in Mexico, Colombia and Costa Rica. According to the company, about 75% of those interactions have been handled end-to-end by AI.
