Spott, a Belgium-based recruitment software startup, raised €18.3 million ($21 million) in a Series A round led by Balderton Capital. Base10 Partners, Y Combinator and Fortino also participated in the financing.
Founded in 2024 by Lander Degrève, Manu Vanderveeren and Samuel Smeys, Spott develops an AI-native applicant tracking system and customer relationship management platform for recruitment agencies. Its software brings candidate management, client workflows, sourcing, outreach and recruitment data into a single platform.
Spott plans to use the Series A funding to support international expansion, including its operations in the US and Asia-Pacific, while investing in enterprise functionality, engineering and agentic AI capabilities. The company has established offices in Leuven, New York and Sydney.
The Series A follows a $3.2 million seed round led by Base10 Partners in 2025, with participation from Y Combinator, True Equity and Fortino. Spott said the latest financing brings its total funding to $24.2 million. The company currently serves more than 500 recruitment agencies.
