TERASi millimeter-wave tactical communications hardware developed in Stockholm, Sweden.
Stockholm-based TERASi has secured €11 million in seed funding to expand its millimeter-wave communications hardware and develop new systems for defence applications.

Swedish defence technology startup TERASi has raised €11 million in seed funding co-led by the NATO Innovation Fund and JOIN Capital. The round also included new investors In-Q-Tel and D3, alongside returning backers Navigare Ventures, Almi Invest, STING, Onsight Ventures, Further Than Capital and KTH Ventures.

Founded in 2020 by James Campion, Adrian Gomez-Torrent and Bernhard Beuerle, the Stockholm-based KTH Royal Institute of Technology spinout develops millimeter-wave communications hardware for defence and other environments where conventional communications infrastructure may be disrupted or unavailable. Its AirCore technology is used to build compact radio hardware designed for high-capacity, directional wireless links.

TERASi plans to use the funding to expand deployment of its connectivity systems, grow its engineering and field teams, and develop additional millimeter-wave products. The company is also working toward an integrated system covering connectivity, spatial awareness and electronic warfare applications.

The funding follows a SEK 13 million pre-seed round announced in 2023, which included backing from Navigare Ventures, Almi Invest, Onsight Ventures and Deeptech Labs, along with existing investors.
