DASH Dog Food branding and fresh-frozen dog food products.
Fresh-frozen pet food company DASH Dog Food has secured $1.5 million in seed funding to expand its subscription business and develop new formulations.

DASH Dog Food, a Massachusetts-based fresh-frozen dog food company, has raised $1.5 million in a seed funding round led by Voltage Ventures. Western Technology Investment also participated alongside a group of individual investors. The financing was announced on September 22, 2026.

DASH is led by founder Bobby Quirk, a former ButcherBox executive who was the company’s first employee and later served as vice president of operations. The business previously operated as ButcherBox for Pets before adopting the DASH Dog Food brand.

The company sells fresh-frozen dog food through a subscription model. Its recipes include grass-fed beef and certified organic chicken and are cooked sous vide in small batches. DASH says its formulations are developed to meet Association of American Feed Control Officials nutritional standards.

DASH plans to use the seed capital to expand paid customer acquisition, scale its subscription business and fund research and development for additional food formulations.
