Aligator company branding for the Qatar-based agentic AI startup.
Aligator has raised $1.2 million in seed funding to develop its autonomous AI agents for public relations and expand across the GCC and MENA.

Aligator, a Doha-based agentic AI startup focused on public relations, has raised $1.2 million (QAR 4.3 million) in a seed funding round led by Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Next Ventures, a fund by Media City Qatar. A group of private investors also participated in the round.

Aligator develops autonomous AI agents for PR and communications workflows, including creating and distributing press materials, monitoring media coverage, identifying relevant journalists and media outlets, and managing outreach. Its platform also provides media monitoring, AI-powered analysis, reputation intelligence, reporting and real-time coverage feeds for communications and marketing teams.

The company is led by founder and CEO Ali Abbas and co-founder and CTO Abdullah Khan. Aligator describes its technology as being designed for communications teams operating across multilingual markets, including Arabic-language media.

Aligator plans to use the new capital to accelerate product development, expand its engineering, AI research and go-to-market teams, and support expansion across the GCC and wider MENA region.
