Ampersand has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Existing investors Matrix and Flex Capital participated, alongside new investors Yelp, Tenacity Capital, CTO Fund and Mana Ventures, as well as angel investors. Bessemer partner Lauri Moore will join Ampersand’s board.

Founded in 2022 by Ayan Barua and Lauren Long, the San Francisco-based company develops integration infrastructure for enterprise AI agents. Its platform enables agentic applications to read from and write to customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning and other systems of record.

Ampersand’s infrastructure is designed to work with customer-specific configurations, including custom data models, fields, objects, permissions and workflows. The company positions the platform as an integration layer that allows AI applications to operate across customized enterprise software environments.

Alongside the financing, Ampersand released Andi in beta. The AI integration agent is designed to help developers with implementation work required to configure their products for individual customer environments. Ampersand said its broader integration offering combines infrastructure, domain expertise, forward-deployed expertise and agentic support.

Ampersand previously announced a $4.7 million seed round in April 2023 led by Matrix, with participation from Base Case Capital, Flex Capital and 2.12 Angels.
