Blue Fire AI branding for the company’s $9 million funding round and Asset Management One investment.
Blue Fire AI has closed a $9 million funding round, with Asset Management One taking a minority stake as the companies expand their collaboration in AI-driven investment management.

Singapore-based Blue Fire AI has closed its latest funding round with $9 million in aggregate commitments, with Japan’s Asset Management One taking a minority equity stake in the company. Asset Management One said its investment was made in Blue Fire AI Holdings Pte. Ltd., the holding company of Blue Fire AI Pte. Ltd.

The financing coincides with a strategic commercial agreement involving Blue Fire AI, Mizuho Financial Group and Asset Management One. The collaboration is focused on developing and distributing AI-enabled asset-management products in Japan. Asset Management One said it plans to use Blue Fire AI’s capabilities in AI-powered fundamental company analysis and its AI development and implementation expertise, while working on new investment-management products.

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Singapore, Blue Fire AI is led by co-founders and co-CEOs Luke Waddington and Samir Rath. Asset Management One’s announcement identifies Singapore as the headquarters of both Blue Fire AI Pte. Ltd. and its holding company, while Blue Fire AI materials identify Waddington and Rath as members of the founding team.

Blue Fire AI develops technology for active investment management. Its platform centres on Emmalyn, a proprietary neuro-symbolic AI framework designed to support investment research, portfolio decision-making and asset management. The company offers its technology both for AI-driven asset management and as research and decision-support infrastructure for institutional clients.
