Paris-based fintech startup Cleavr has raised €8 million in a seed funding round led by Varsity to expand its AI-powered accounts receivable management platform across Europe.

The round included existing investors Kima Ventures and Better Angle, alongside 100IN, Portfolio Ventures, Kerala Ventures, Financière Saint James, Station F and Clover. Angel investors associated with Datadog and Convelio also participated.

Founded in 2025 by Baptiste Nassoy, Arthur Guérin and Antoine Grenard, Cleavr develops software that automates invoice collection and accounts receivable workflows for businesses. Its platform integrates with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and accounting systems, allowing finance teams to manage outstanding invoices with less manual intervention.

Cleavr uses AI to identify relevant payment contacts, send personalised reminders through email, SMS and phone calls, monitor payment commitments and manage disputes. The platform also supports payment reconciliation, enabling finance teams to focus on cases requiring human attention.

The company reports having acquired more than 100 customers across six European markets: France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy and the United Kingdom. According to Cleavr, customers have recorded an average 37% reduction in days sales outstanding (DSO), a 40% increase in cash collected and an 80% reduction in time spent on manual collection activities.

The latest financing follows Cleavr’s €1 million pre-seed round announced in March 2026, which was backed by Kima Ventures, Better Angle, Another VC, Aonia Ventures, Super Capital and angel investors.

Cleavr plans to use the new funding to accelerate its European expansion, strengthen its sales organisation and continue developing its AI-based financial operations platform. The company also plans to recruit 20 employees across sales, product and technology functions.
