Feldera has raised $15.4 million in a Series A round led by Inovia Capital, with participation from Costanoa Ventures and Battery Ventures. The financing was announced alongside an earlier $6.1 million Seed round led by Costanoa Ventures, with participation from Ion Stoica, bringing the company’s disclosed funding across the two rounds to $21.5 million.
Founded in 2023, Feldera was established by Lalith Suresh, Leonid Ryzhyk, Mihai Budiu, Ben Pfaff and Gerd Zellweger. The company develops an incremental view maintenance engine designed to continuously update the results of SQL queries as underlying data changes, rather than repeatedly recomputing entire datasets.
Feldera’s platform is built on DBSP, research that provides the mathematical foundation for incrementally evaluating complex queries. The company targets data engineering workloads including real-time data pipelines, fraud detection, knowledge graphs for AI systems, event analytics and fine-grained authorization.
The new capital is intended to support further development of Feldera’s core technology, integrations with data infrastructure and expansion of its commercial offering.
