KTV Working Drone (UK), a Pontyclun, Wales-based drone cleaning and inspection business, has secured a £300,000 loan from the Development Bank of Wales through the Wales Flexible Investment Fund. The financing will support new equipment, additional hiring and the company’s expansion into London.
The company uses drones to clean and inspect commercial buildings, providing an alternative to access methods such as rope access and elevated work platforms. KTV Working Drone (UK) holds the exclusive franchise for the Norwegian KTV Working Drone brand across England and Wales.
KTV Working Drone plans to use the loan to purchase newly developed battery-powered drones and supporting equipment capable of operating in higher wind speeds. According to the Development Bank of Wales, the equipment is expected to increase the number of days the company can operate during the year and improve productivity. The financing will also support five new jobs and the opening of a satellite office in London.
KTV Working Drone (UK) was incorporated in October 2022 and is registered in Pontyclun. The company became fully operational in 2024 after developing from facilities management business Shield HD, which had previously received Development Bank funding to establish the UK KTV Working Drone operation.
The company has carried out work at sites including the Principality Stadium and the Admiral building in Cardiff’s Callaghan Square. Its expansion is aimed at serving growing demand from facilities management companies responsible for commercial property portfolios across the UK.
