San Francisco-based AI infrastructure company Labelbox has raised more than $100 million in Series E financing, comprising equity funding and a credit facility. The round was led by Infinitum Partners, with participation from Wipro Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), B Capital, Tau Ventures, Snowpoint Ventures and other investors. The financing values the company at $1.25 billion on a pre-money basis.
Founded in 2018 by Manu Sharma, Brian Rieger and Daniel Rasmuson, Labelbox develops infrastructure for training, evaluating and deploying AI systems. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Manu Sharma and serves AI research laboratories, technology companies and enterprise customers.
Labelbox operates two principal offerings, Horizon and Recursion Managed Agents. Horizon provides reinforcement learning environments, expert feedback and evaluation infrastructure that AI developers use to train and improve advanced models. Recursion Managed Agents enables enterprises to deploy AI agents within existing business applications, coordinate tasks across software tools and improve their performance through feedback from completed work.
The company plans to allocate the new financing towards research and engineering for both products, alongside expanding the teams responsible for delivering them to customers.
Labelbox reported serving more than 400 customers, including major AI laboratories, startups and large enterprises. The company also stated that it reached profitability in 2026 while recording more than fivefold year-over-year growth.
The Series E follows Labelbox’s $110 million Series D round announced in January 2022, which was led by SoftBank Vision Fund II and included participation from Databricks Ventures, Snowpoint Ventures and existing investors.
