Miter, a San Francisco-based construction workforce management software company, has raised $40 million in a Series B funding round led by Battery Ventures. Existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners and Coatue also participated. The financing brings Miter’s total capital raised to $78 million.
Founded in 2021 by Connor Watumull and Tobin Paxton, Miter develops software for construction and field-service contractors. Watumull serves as co-founder and CEO, while Paxton is co-founder and COO.
Miter’s platform brings payroll, HR, workforce management, field operations, expenses and related financial workflows into a system designed around the operational requirements of contractors. The company also uses AI across workflows including back-office administration, compliance and field operations.
Miter says its platform is used by more than 2,000 customers. The company plans to use the new capital to continue developing AI products for contractors, expand its engineering teams in San Francisco and New York, and grow its go-to-market organisation across the United States.
