Shanghai-based MOYOM Biotech has completed a new financing round from the Cathay Consumer Co-Creation Fund, managed by Cathay Capital. The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
MOYOM plans to use the financing to accelerate clinical translation, pursue additional regulatory approvals, expand into overseas markets and continue developing next-generation regenerative biomaterials.
Founded in 2018, MOYOM develops regenerative aesthetic biomaterials and Class III absorbable implantable medical devices. Its work focuses on calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA, materials used in regenerative aesthetics, with Aphranel serving as its flagship brand.
MOYOM’s technology platform includes its proprietary ACD-MT CaHA microsphere technology and PCD-ETT physically cross-linked CMC gel technology. The technologies are used in Aphranel’s CaHA-based injectable products.
Aphranel received Class III medical device registration from China’s National Medical Products Administration in February 2025 and EU Medical Device Regulation certification in May 2026.
The company said Aphranel, commercially launched in May 2025, has since been introduced in more than 700 medical aesthetics clinics across China.
