Parakeet Health has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Canvas Ventures, with participation from Blank Space Ventures, StoryHouse Ventures and HMC INQ. The financing brings the San Francisco-based healthcare AI company’s total funding to $13 million.
The company plans to use the new capital to expand its technology and team, develop its personalization capabilities, support continued growth with enterprise healthcare organizations, and extend its platform across additional medical specialties and patient-engagement workflows.
Founded in 2023 by Jung Park, Eric Mao and Aaron Lee, Parakeet Health develops a conversational agentic platform for patient access. Park serves as CEO, Mao as CPO and Lee as CTO. The platform manages workflows including inbound calls, proactive patient outreach, fax processing and web scheduling across voice, SMS, email, web and fax. It integrates with electronic health record and practice-management systems and is designed to handle requirements involving providers, procedures, locations, insurance and scheduling rules.
Parakeet Health says its platform now supports more than 2,800 providers across over 1,100 locations and works with six of the 10 largest dermatology groups in the United States. The company also reported a tenfold increase in annual recurring revenue over the past year as it expands beyond dermatology into other specialty and outpatient healthcare markets.
The Series A follows Parakeet Health’s $3 million seed financing announced in October 2024. That round included Canvas Ventures, CoFound Partners and StoryHouse Ventures and supported the company’s early expansion of its AI-powered patient communication platform.
