Soufflé Therapeutics, a Boston, Massachusetts-based biotechnology company developing targeted RNA therapies, has raised $135 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round led by Juvia Group. The financing was announced on October 13, 2026.
The round attracted new investors including TCG Crossover Management, BB Biotech, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Balyasny Asset Management and an undisclosed sovereign wealth fund.
Existing investors also participated, including Amgen Ventures, ARCH Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, Breyer Capital, The Invus Group, Janus Henderson, Leaps by Bayer, Polaris Partners, Safar Partners, TAS Partners, Temasek and Vida Ventures.
Founded in 2021, Soufflé Therapeutics develops RNA-based medicines designed to deliver therapeutic molecules to specific cells and tissues. Its founding team includes scientists Robert Langer, Daniel Anderson, Victor Kotelianski, Marino Zerial and Brad Pentelute. The company is led by CEO and co-founder Amir Nashat.
The company has developed REMEDY (Receptor Mediated Delivery), a proprietary platform designed to enable cell-specific delivery of oligonucleotide therapies to tissues outside the liver. The technology identifies receptors that can transport molecules into targeted cells and develops binding agents, including antibodies and other ligands, to facilitate therapeutic delivery.
Soufflé intends to use the new capital to advance its three lead therapeutic programs into clinical studies while expanding preclinical research across additional cell types and tissues.
Its initial development programs focus on facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), a genetic muscle disorder, heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), and muscle and metabolic disorders. The company is also investigating targeted delivery approaches for other diseases.
In January 2026, Soufflé Therapeutics announced a strategic collaboration and global licensing agreement with Bayer to develop a heart-targeted small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapy for a form of dilated cardiomyopathy. The collaboration focuses on delivering RNA medicines directly to heart muscle cells.
The Series B financing will support Soufflé’s transition of its lead development programs toward clinical evaluation and further development of its targeted RNA delivery platform.
