TODAY, an AI-powered software startup serving financial and insurance advisors, has raised €2.8 million in a Seed funding round co-led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Insurtech Gateway.
The round also included participation from SeedX, Lucid Capital, former HDI CEO Herbert Rogenhofer, and Tech11 founder Pierre Dubosq. The company plans to use the funding to develop and commercialise its AI platform and expand its operations across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Founded in 2024 by Michael Gackstatter and Artem Demchenkov, TODAY operates from Copenhagen, Denmark, and Berlin, Germany. Gackstatter serves as CEO, while Demchenkov is CTO. Both founders previously held positions at financial technology and insurance technology companies, including CLARK, Funding Circle and Billie.
TODAY develops an AI-powered sales operating system designed to support financial and insurance advisors throughout the client engagement process. Its platform automates administrative activities, transcribes client meetings, generates documentation, provides sales coaching and handles incoming calls.
The software is designed for advisors working with banks, insurance companies, distribution organisations and independent brokerages. It combines AI agents with workflow automation to reduce routine administrative work and support client interactions.
According to the company, more than 3,500 advisors across the DACH region use its platform. TODAY also reports that advisors using its software save approximately five hours per week on administrative work.
The new investment will support further development of the platform’s AI capabilities, including automation across customer-facing activities and back-office operations, as TODAY expands its presence in the German-speaking financial services market.
