Tryp.com, a Copenhagen-based travel technology company, has raised €1.9 million in a funding round led by Point Capital Partners. Iberis Capital, which led the company’s previous round, participated again alongside angel investors from the travel industry. The company said the financing brings its total funding to €5.9 million.
Founded in 2019 by André Rangel de Sousa, Hélio Domingos, Inês Jorge, Tiago Martins, Victor Gram Thomsen and Sebastian Siig Nørgaard, Tryp.com develops a travel platform that uses AI to build and book itineraries combining flights, trains, buses, ferries and accommodation.
The company says its engine tracks more than 80 million transport fares and 28 million accommodation options, combining them into multi-stop travel itineraries. Tryp.com has served more than 10 million users, and its technology powers WIZZ Holidays, Wizz Air’s package holiday platform.
Tryp.com plans to use the new capital to expand its technology to additional travel brands, introduce tours and activity-based experiences, continue developing its personalised travel discovery features, and begin entering markets in Asia and the Americas.
