The Suzhou semiconductor startup completed a new financing round backed by Xinhe Capital, Appotronics, a Beijing government seed fund, Peng Qian, Fibonacci VC and Lanchi Ventures. The formal round stage was not disclosed.
VIJO (Suzhou) Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese developer and manufacturer of Micro LED microdisplays and optical chips, has completed a new financing round of nearly RMB100 million. The company announced the transaction on August 24, 2026.
The financing included Xinhe Capital, Peng Qian, chairman of semiconductor inspection-equipment company Wuhan Jingce Electronic Group, Appotronics, and the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Seed Investment Fund. Existing shareholders Fibonacci VC, known in Chinese as 千乘资本, and Lanchi Ventures also reinvested. No lead investor or formal financing stage was disclosed in the strongest company-linked sources reviewed by Bipsiq.
VIJO said the proceeds will support capacity construction, technology research and development, market development and expansion into additional business areas. The company is working to build more of its Micro LED manufacturing stack internally, combining epitaxy development with chip fabrication. Its latest financing announcement said its proprietary epitaxy production capability was nearing operation and that the company was extending its optical-chip work into visible-light communications.
Founded in December 2023 by Dr. Wang Chenggong, VIJO is based in Suzhou Industrial Park and focuses on Micro LED microdisplays for applications including augmented-reality glasses. Its official website lists 0.12-inch and 0.13-inch RGB Micro LED development milestones and says its Suzhou pilot production line reached full-process integration in January 2026.
The Suzhou Industrial Park government separately reported in January that the pilot line had begun RGB Micro LED production wafer starts after completing process integration. In a July interview with TrendForce’s LEDinside, VIJO said its 0.13-inch monochrome green LEDoS microdisplay had moved into volume production and shipments, although customer identities were not disclosed.
The August financing is the second near-RMB100 million round publicly reported for VIJO in 2026. In January, the company completed a near-RMB100 million Angel+ financing led by Oriza Seed, with Fibonacci VC and Shunxi Fund participating and existing investors including iFLYTEK Ventures and Tongxin Capital adding capital. A precise cumulative funding total cannot be established from the disclosed figures because earlier capital was not fully disclosed and both recent rounds were reported only as “nearly” RMB100 million.
