Vinci, a Palo Alto-based AI company developing computational tools for hardware engineering, has raised $250 million in a Series B round at a $1.5 billion valuation. The financing was co-led by Advent, Temasek and Xora, with participation from AMD Ventures, Eclipse, Khosla Ventures, Madrona and other investors.
Founded in 2023, Vinci develops an AI-native computational platform designed to bring physics analysis into the hardware design process. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Hardik Kabaria and co-founder and CTO Sarah Osentoski.
Its platform combines automated design preparation, AI-based orchestration, a foundation model for physics and GPU-native computational methods. Vinci’s Continuous Physics Reasoning technology is designed to help engineers analyze thermal, thermo-mechanical and convective fluid behavior while products are still being designed, including at manufacturing-scale resolution.
Vinci said the new capital will support its expansion beyond its initial work in semiconductor physics into additional physical phenomena, engineering disciplines and hardware industries. The company is targeting applications across areas including advanced computing, vehicles, aircraft and satellites.
Before the Series B, Vinci disclosed $46 million in total funding across its Seed and Series A financing. Its Series A was led by Xora Innovation, while Eclipse led the Seed round.
