PatientIQ has secured $30 million in Series C funding led by Hughes & Company, with continued backing from Health Enterprise Partners and August Capital.

PatientIQ has raised $30 million in Series C funding led by Hughes & Company, with participation from existing investors Health Enterprise Partners and August Capital. Travis Hughes, founder and managing partner of Hughes & Company, will join PatientIQ’s board of directors following the investment.

Founded in 2016 by Matthew Gitelis, Chicago-based PatientIQ develops a healthcare outcomes intelligence platform that helps healthcare providers collect, analyze and use patient-reported outcomes data. Its software is integrated with electronic health record systems and is used across clinical care, research, regulatory reporting and real-world evidence applications.

PatientIQ plans to use the new capital to deepen its presence across existing medical specialties and health systems, expand its real-world evidence platform for medical device and life sciences companies, and develop a direct-to-patient commerce experience connecting patients with products and services through its marketplace.

The company said its EHR-integrated network now covers more than 870 healthcare organizations and 17 million patients, while more than 70 million patient-reported outcomes have been collected through the platform. PatientIQ serves organizations across more than 20 medical specialties and integrates with over 50 EHR systems, including Epic, Oracle Cerner and Athenahealth.
