Resect AI branding for the company's $25 million funding announcement.
Resect AI launched out of stealth with $25 million in funding to expand its technology for monitoring and improving the behaviour of large language models.

Resect AI, a Washougal, Washington-based artificial intelligence startup, raised $25 million in funding as it launched out of stealth on September 3, 2026. The company described its backers as private equity investors but did not disclose their identities.

Resect AI is developing technology designed to improve the factual accuracy and accountability of large language models. The company says its platform can observe, detect, interpret, audit and modify internal model behaviour, with a focus on helping organisations identify and address AI hallucinations and meet governance and compliance requirements. Its planned offering includes enterprise products and open-source technology.

The company is led by founder and CEO Kevin Owens, alongside co-founders Tim Walton, Tyler Gerber and Tommy Lofgren. Resect AI said the new capital will support research and development, go-to-market initiatives and hiring across the greater Seattle and Portland markets.
