San Francisco-based AI startup Rocker raised $12.85 million in funding led by Greycroft, with participation from Anthropic, Menlo Ventures’ Anthology Fund, Matchstick Ventures and Stripe.
The financing also included investments from industry executives Jeanne DeWitt Grosser, Chief Operating Officer at Vercel; Fran Ryan, Chief Business Officer at Stripe; and David Singleton, a technology executive associated with Meta Superintelligence Labs. The funding was announced on October 28, 2026, alongside Rocker’s public launch.
Founded in 2025 by Alex Vogenthaler (CEO) and Peter Terrill (CTO), Rocker develops AI-powered work assistants designed to help professionals and enterprise teams manage priorities, coordinate projects and make decisions using organizational context.
The company’s platform maintains a continuously updated model of projects, people, decisions and dependencies within an organization. Its AI assistants use this information to identify important tasks, surface potential coordination problems and support collaboration between employees and teams.
Rocker connects with workplace tools, including Slack, Google Docs and email, to understand ongoing work and help users manage responsibilities across multiple projects.
A central feature of the platform is its bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) deployment model, which allows organizations to operate Rocker within their own cloud environments. This approach is designed to give enterprises greater control over sensitive business information while enabling AI assistants to access relevant organizational context.
Before establishing Rocker, Vogenthaler held product leadership positions at Google and Stripe, while Terrill led engineering for Stripe Connect and previously founded technology startups.
Rocker intends to use the new financing to expand its engineering and product development capabilities, including further development of its collaborative AI system.
The company has also opened a waitlist for early access to its platform, initially prioritizing larger enterprise teams.
