Bengaluru-based B2B precision manufacturing startup Venttup has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures. The investment will support the company’s expansion of engineering capabilities, precision manufacturing infrastructure and technology-enabled industrial sourcing operations.

The company plans to use the funding to expand its engineering team and establish a precision manufacturing facility and rapid prototyping infrastructure in Bengaluru. The facility is expected to support machining, turning and sheet metal manufacturing. Venttup also intends to adopt artificial intelligence to improve supplier intelligence, B2B sourcing and operational efficiency.

Venttup was co-founded by Sandeep Nair, who serves as CEO, Mahammad Wasim Ankli, COO, and Joseph Panakkal, CMO. The company provides engineering and manufacturing services focused on developing and localising critical mechanical, electrical and electronic components for industrial customers.

Operating through a Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) model, Venttup supports businesses across engineering design, specification standardisation, product development, prototyping, testing, validation and contract manufacturing. It combines its engineering capabilities with a network of Indian manufacturing partners, including micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The company serves industries including renewable energy, electric mobility, defence, aerospace, space and industrial infrastructure. Its services are designed to help customers source and manufacture specialised components in India.

Venttup previously secured seed funding from Unicorn India Ventures in September 2024. The investor has now participated in the company’s latest financing round alongside Rainmatter.

According to Unicorn India Ventures, Venttup’s revenue increased fivefold following the earlier investment, reaching ₹10 crore in FY2025-26. The company also added more than 15 major customers over the preceding 12 months and developed a business opportunity pipeline of approximately ₹30 crore across new energy, mobility and smart infrastructure.

The new investment will support Venttup’s efforts to expand its engineering and manufacturing capacity while strengthening its domestic supplier network for precision components and industrial subassemblies.
