New York-based fintech company Casap has secured $56 million in Series B funding led by Base10 Partners. The investment brings its total funding to $90 million and will support the expansion of its AI agent platform for financial institutions.

Casap, a New York-based fintech company developing AI agents for financial services, has raised $56 million in a Series B funding round led by Base10 Partners. The round included strategic investments from Experian and Synchrony, alongside continued participation from existing investors Emergence Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Co-founded by CEO Shanthi Shanmugam and Saisi Peters, Casap develops an agentic AI platform that helps banks, credit unions, fintech companies and payment processors automate complex financial operations. Its technology uses specialized AI agents to investigate cases, make decisions and execute tasks across existing financial systems while following institutional policies and retaining human oversight.

The company’s platform initially focused on payment disputes and fraud prevention. Its AI agents support activities including dispute intake, investigations, evidence collection, chargeback recovery and customer communications. Casap plans to extend these capabilities into other financial operations, including collections, claims and complex exception handling.

The company said it serves more than 100 financial institutions and payment businesses. Casap also reported tenfold revenue growth since its previous funding round, reflecting increased adoption of its automation technology.

The Series B follows Casap’s $25 million Series A funding round announced in 2025. With the latest investment, the company has raised a total of $90 million.

Casap intends to use the new capital to develop its AI platform further, expand its operational capabilities and support financial institutions adopting AI-driven workflows across a broader range of services.
