Karta AI, a Bengaluru-based startup developing AI-powered voice agents for financial services, raised $3 million in a seed funding round co-led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital. The round also included participation from Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars.
Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, Karta AI develops conversational AI systems that automate customer service operations for banks, lenders, fintech companies and insurers. Its platform is designed to handle complex customer requests that involve multiple issues, internal systems and operational workflows.
The company’s voice agents use contextual intelligence and enterprise integrations to process requests such as loan servicing, transaction-related inquiries and customer account support. The technology connects with business systems, including customer relationship management platforms and APIs, to execute tasks and resolve inquiries without requiring human intervention for every interaction.
Karta AI’s platform supports more than 25 languages and handles approximately 2 million customer conversations each month, according to the company. Its technology focuses particularly on inbound customer interactions that require multiple steps or information from different enterprise systems.
The startup plans to deploy the funding toward expanding enterprise distribution, strengthening its engineering and go-to-market teams, and accelerating product development. Its priorities include improving the platform’s contextual intelligence, developing self-learning capabilities and increasing the reliability of automated workflows.
Karta AI also intends to expand its deployments across financial institutions and support additional customer service use cases as it develops its voice AI platform.
