The financing gives Japan’s SBI Holdings a 20% stake in the Indonesian multi-asset investment platform and takes Ajaib’s reported total funding above $500 million.
Jakarta-based investment platform Ajaib has raised $270 million in Series C equity financing from SBI Holdings, with the Japanese financial services group acquiring a 20% stake in the company.
Ajaib announced the financing as its Series C round. SBI Holdings separately confirmed on August 28, 2026 that it had made a strategic investment in Ajaib Group through a subsidiary and that the SBI Group now owns 20% of the company. As a result, Ajaib has become an equity-method affiliate of SBI Holdings.
The financing takes Ajaib’s reported total capital raised since its founding to more than $500 million. The company did not disclose its new valuation, although it said the Series C was priced above the valuation at which it reached unicorn status following its $153 million Series B in 2021.
Ajaib was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Jakarta. Its current official company page identifies Anderson Sumarli as Co-Founder and CEO, Yada Piyajomkwan as Co-Founder and CPO, and Winston Lays as Co-Founder and CTO. The company operates a multi-asset financial platform spanning Indonesian equities, mutual funds, bonds, US stocks, cryptocurrencies, futures and payment-related services.
The group operates its investment products through several regulated Indonesian entities. Ajaib’s website identifies PT Ajaib Sekuritas Asia as the entity facilitating stock transactions, PT Takjub Teknologi Indonesia for mutual funds and PT Kagum Teknologi Indonesia for crypto-asset transactions.
SBI said its investment is part of a broader strategy to connect traditional financial services with digital assets across Asia. The Japanese group highlighted Ajaib’s combination of securities, crypto assets, stablecoins, payments and foreign-exchange services as relevant to its regional digital-asset strategy.
Ajaib has indicated that the new capital will support business expansion and hiring in Indonesia and the wider region. Recent reporting also points to recruitment across engineering, data science and product functions as the company develops its investment and digital-asset offerings.
