EBO has received an investment from Olea Venture Partners to expand adoption of its AI-powered patient engagement technology and support international growth.

Malta-based healthcare AI company EBO has received an investment from Olea Venture Partners, a healthcare and life sciences investor. Announced on October 1, 2026, the investment will support wider adoption of EBO’s technology across healthcare systems, expansion into additional clinical and operational workflows, and further growth across Europe and into the United States. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2017 and led by founder and CEO Dr. Gege Gatt, EBO develops AI-powered patient engagement and workflow automation technology for healthcare organisations. Its platform automates patient interactions including appointment management, self-assessments and pathway communications, and is designed to operate within healthcare workflows.

EBO has commercial operations in Malta, the UK, Italy and Greece. The company says its healthcare technology has 24 live deployments across UK NHS Trusts and hospitals. In July 2026, EBO also announced that its Clinical Management Support Software had been registered with the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency as a Class I medical device.

Olea Venture Partners focuses on early-stage healthcare and life sciences companies and invests from pre-seed through Series A. The firm is backed by the European Investment Fund and works with companies across areas including healthcare operations, AI-enabled platforms, medical devices and diagnostics.
