Feather Robotics has raised $7.6 million in pre-seed funding led by Gradient Ventures, with participation from Builder Capital, Geometry, SEED Innovations and Virgo VC. SEED Innovations said the financing was completed through a Simple Agreement for Future Equity, or SAFE, and that its previously announced $1 million investment formed part of the round. Feather announced the financing on September 24, 2026.
Founded in 2025 by Hoa Mai and Parsa Bakhtiari, Feather develops a modular robotics platform for companies building physical AI and automation applications. Its bimanual mobile robot combines two seven-degree-of-freedom arms, a vertically adjustable torso and an omnidirectional wheeled base. The platform includes an open software development kit supporting Python and ROS 2.
Feather positions the system as a common hardware layer that allows developers and integrators to build applications without developing an entire robot platform themselves. The company currently lists its standard system from $29,990 and offers configurable compute, vision and manipulation components.
Feather says it has generated more than $1 million in revenue and has supplied robots for applications in areas including manufacturing, food service and laboratory work. TechCrunch reported that the company had begun selling its systems in small quantities as it prepared for broader commercial deployment.
