Fortem Technologies has closed a $50 million Series B funding round led by Lockheed Martin, with participation from Unusual Machines and other strategic and institutional investors. Lockheed Martin had committed $25 million through the initial tranche of the round announced in April 2026.
Founded in 2016 by Timothy Bean and Adam Robertson, Fortem Technologies develops airspace security and counter-drone systems. Robertson serves as Chief Technology Officer, while the company is currently led by CEO Jon Gruen.
Fortem’s SkyDome Family of Systems combines TrueView radar sensors, command-and-control software and DroneHunter autonomous interceptors. The platform is designed to detect, track, classify and counter unauthorized or hostile drones across military, government and commercial environments.
The company said the Series B capital will be used to accelerate manufacturing at its Lindon, Utah facility and expand global deployment of SkyDome systems. Fortem opened a 51,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Lindon in 2025, which the company said more than doubled its previous production capacity.
