Loops, a San Francisco-based AI commerce startup, raised $3.5 million in seed funding led by a16z Speedrun, Andreessen Horowitz’s early-stage investment program. The round included participation from NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Connecticut Innovations, Alumni Ventures and Monday Capital. The funding was announced on October 12, 2026.
Co-founded by Ari Nazir and İlker Selim Zorluoğlu, Loops develops AI-powered software that helps brands and retailers manage product discovery, online shopping assistance and customer interactions. Nazir serves as CEO, while Zorluoğlu is the company’s president.
The company’s platform combines natural-language product search, conversational shopping assistants, product catalog enrichment, customer operations and virtual try-on capabilities. It structures retailers’ product information into AI-readable knowledge graphs, allowing different applications to access shared product data and support customer interactions across digital shopping channels.
Loops reported more than 70 customers and pilot deployments, with its technology supporting millions of shopping interactions. Its retail deployments include Turkish supermarket chain A101 and fashion retailer Mavi. The company also reported that 64% of its pilots had converted into paying customers.
The new capital will support further product development, increased customer deployment capacity and international expansion. Loops plans to extend its AI commerce platform to additional brands and retailers while developing its integrated approach to product discovery and shopping assistance.
