Meticulous, a London-based startup developing an automated software testing platform, raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by venture capital firm Chemistry, with participation from Menlo Ventures and several angel investors. The financing was initially disclosed in July 2026 and was the subject of a further company announcement in October.

The angel investors included Lachy Groom, Jason Warner, Arash Ferdowsi, Scott Belsky, Guillermo Rauch, Calvin French-Owen, Caitlin Colgrove and Jason Ginsberg.

Founded in 2021 by brothers Gabriel Spencer-Harper and Quentin Spencer-Harper, Meticulous develops software that helps engineering teams test code changes before they are merged into an application. Gabriel serves as CEO, while Quentin is CTO.

The platform automates end-to-end testing by recording application interactions, generating test scenarios and simulating user flows. It compares application behaviour before and after code changes, identifying visual differences and potential regressions that developers can review before releasing updates.

Meticulous uses automated test generation and maintenance to reduce the manual work involved in software quality assurance. Its technology is designed to support development teams working with both human-written and AI-generated code.

The company identifies Notion, ElevenLabs, Dropbox, Wiz and LaunchDarkly among its customers. According to Meticulous, its system can maintain thousands of testing flows across large codebases and detect visual differences at the pixel level.

Meticulous plans to use the Series A capital to expand its engineering and customer-facing teams, increase marketing activity and invest in product development. Its research and development plans include extending its testing capabilities beyond frontend applications into backend and performance testing.

The company had previously announced a $4 million seed financing backed by investors including Coatue, Soma Capital, Base Case Capital and Y Combinator.
